I cannot remember a time in my life when I did not give back massages to people only early in life we called it “oinky doink”!  The human body and how it functions has intrigued me since my beginning years along with a love for the outdoors.  When I think of how magnificent God’s creation is, it captivates me.  I feel the same way when I use my hands to help relieve someone’s stress or pain.

It is my love for massage that made it easy to change the direction of my career (from insurance/accounting and telecommunications/inside sales) to the massage industry, becoming professionally trained and nationally certified (NCTMB) in 2005. It was then that I began my association with Dr. Aaron Oberst, D.C., Director of Healthy Balance Chiropractic & Wellness Center, and continued working with him for more than 20 years.

Working in a medical facility I had the opportunity to work in conjunction with chiropractic treatments doing focused massage and treating people with muscle pain resulting from car accidents. Of particular interest is working on people with special needs and on those in the geriatric community where comforting human touch is frequently neglected.

In 2009, The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania passed license requirements making applications available in 2011 at which time I received my license. I am also a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). Now, though the setting has changed, I remain at the same location practicing the work I love and continuing my education in a variety of bodywork specialties.

My hobbies include helping with church functions, bike riding on local trails, kayaking, baking, Jigsaw puzzles, reading, and traveling.
